What is H.I.D. or Xenon Light?

HID (High Intensity Discharge) is an intensely different type of lighting technology. HID lighting does not have a filament as standard halogen bulbs do, but instead creates light by igniting an electrical discharge between two electrodes in an air tight tiny quartz capsule filled with xenon gas. HID light is also called Xenon light, referring to the gas inside the bulb.

Why is H.I.D. better?
